Son of Madison Police Chief Charged

The son of Madison's Police Chief is charged with felony theft and could face a maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted.

According to a criminal complaint, Brent Wray, 24, stole more than $28,000 from the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in Milwaukee "by punching in fraudulent refunds at a cash register and by deleting payments at the cash register."

In November, Museum officials discovered that Wray, who was an assitant manager, had been "taking cash from the mueum on a regular basis in amounts that were as high as $900."

His alleged "thefts began in 2006 when he took $203. In 2007, [Wray allegedly] took $6,676.50 and in 2008 he took $21,661.50." - WTMJ

The bad news for young Mr. Wray, is that he is going to face much more scrutiny because of his Dad's occupation.
