ObamaCare Changes again by Obama

The following was posted on FoxNews.com:

The Obama administration is coming under fire for once again making a unilateral change to ObamaCare -- this time, quietly exempting the five U.S. territories and their more than 4 million residents from virtually all major provisions of the health care law.

The decision was made a week ago, and was a long time coming. For months, the territories have been complaining that the law was implemented so poorly in their regions that it destabilized their insurance markets.

Until now, the Department of Health and Human Services claimed its hands were tied. But last Wednesday, the department reversed course.

The about-face has some questioning the department's authority to suddenly grant 4.1 million Americans an out from ObamaCare. It follows a cascade of prior unilateral actions delaying and nixing parts of the law for certain groups -- actions which in part prompted House Republicans to launch a lawsuit against President Obama challenging his use of executive power.

"The White House knows that ObamaCare is a train wreck," Republican National Committee spokesman Raffi Williams told FoxNews.com. "Excluding the territories from their train wreck of a law is just the latest example of delays and waivers the administration has issued to quietly limit the damage of the law without admitting that they have ruined the American health care system."

The decision covers residents in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Brewers Extend Lead in Division

The Brewers went into the All Star Break on a slide.  They struggled mightily and allowed the Cardinals, Reds and Pirates all to catch up to them.

Coming out of the All Star Break the Brewers started the unofficial second half off in Washington where they appeared to be continuing that struggle by dropping 2 of 3.

The Brewers returned home for three games against the Cincinnati Reds.  Home Cooking must of been just what the Brewers needed as they swept the Reds at home.  Although there is some concern that they are relying more on the long ball that playing small ball, wins are wins and they have been able to extend their division lead back up to 2.5 games.

They need to get their game back and keep it consistent or this could be a horrible ending to what should have been a great year.  Get back to playing small ball and go tear up the second half of the season.

At least go and make sure that you beat the that Whiny Team from Eastern Missouri. :-)

Wisconsin Governors Race Dead Heat so Far

Latest polling shows the race for Governor to be a dead heat.  Walker is ahead by only 1 point.

Lets take a look at the race so far.

Mary Burke has been campaigning and her ads have been on the airwaves for the last few months.  She has been in full campaign mode.  She has had too, she was widely unknown by a majority of the voters in the state.  She had to get her name and message out to the masses.  She has been able to do that pretty much unhindered by the Walker Campaign.

Walker has just very recently turned on the ignition to the Campaign.  Their team has just recently started putting out ads and shooting back against the attack ads from the Burke Campaign.

I think the race will be close, but I think the polling numbers are showing a one sided race early where Walker was able to maintain a razor thin margin even while the Democrat had the help of a biased multi-year attack with multiple John Doe Investigations dragging Walker through the mud and Mary Burke was able to campaign without any counter attacks from Walker.

I think Walker will win re-election and I would be pretty surprised if the margin is less than 7 points.

Obama Administration Supports Hamas?

The Obama Administration gave every indication that it is supporting Hamas, a Terrorist organization, in the battle against Israel.

Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Israel and as he was handing over $47 Million in (wink, wink) Humanitarian Aid, the FAA was isolating Israel by banning flights into Tel Aviv.

First of all, $47 Million in Humanitarian Aid?  The money was handed over to a Terrorist Organization who controls Gaza.  The same organization or hides it's rockets within schools as protection.  This organization uses it's citizens as human shields against attack, do we really believe they give a hoot about humanitarian aid?  Any human with a brain knows full well that this money will go strictly to funding their war against Israel.  So this begs to question, is this just plain incompetence on the part of the Obama Administration?

Second, why did the FAA stop all flights into Israel?  They claim it was because a rocket landed near the airport.  Really?  Why haven't we stopped flights into Ukraine?  A passenger jet was intentionally shot down there.  Who made the decision?  The State Department spoke on behalf of the FAA during a briefing so we can assume that they were involved in the decision.  Was this an attempt by the Obama Administration to put pressure on Israel in John Kerry's effort for a cease fire?

With all the events around the world and the responses by the Obama Administration one thing has become crystal clear,  This Administration has absolutely no clue what they are doing.

Romney vs Obama - Russia

Now things have come full circle for Obama and Romney when it comes to Russia.

Obama said “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because…the cold war’s been over for 20 years.” To Romney during the debates when Romney said Russia was a growing global threat.

For the record Sarah Palin also predicted Russia would invade Ukraine during the 2008 election.

The National Media was all over Palin and Romney.  Making a mockery of Romney and making it all into a giant joke.

Well, I don't think anyone is laughing.  I don't think the many Ukrainians killed during the battles, most definitely not the 294 on the airline shot down.

Milwaukee Mayor's Gun Tip Line Results in No Guns during First Month

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett created the Gun Tip line with great fanfare as his latest strategy to fight a year of seriously increasing gun violence within the city of Milwaukee.

However, after one month of service the Milwaukee Chief of Police has reported that there has been only 45 calls and none that created leads to taking illegal guns off the street.

So far the Mayor hasn't provided his plan B.

Federal Appeals Court Hits Obamacare

The Federal Appeals Court in Washington has ruled 2-1 in the Halbig v Sebelius case that it is illegal for subsidies or tax credits to be used to purchase Insurance Coverage from the Federal Exchanges.  The law only allows for subsidies from the State exchanges.  Obama and the IRS had allowed those subsidies to carry over to the Federal Exchange also known as HeathCare.gov

This is a major blow to the legislation and could now make the law very, very, very expensive and unsustainable as the younger people won't buy coverage as it is too expensive.  It is also known that approximately 90% of those signed up with HealthCare.Gov were previously receiving subsidies and credits.  That could leave millions out of coverage now.

There are only 14 State Run Exchanges out of the 50 states.  That means that the Subsidies and Tax Credits are illegal in 36 of the states.

This is the problem with a law that one party slams down the throat of the American People and then try to fix without consulting with Congress and/or listening to the American People or the other Party. Now we are stuck with a law that has serious flaws and an Administration that thinks they can do anything they want to change that law.  They are finding that the courts are holding the Executive Branch more and more accountable to breaking the law and the constitution that we live under.

This whole problem can be laid at the feet of the Obama Administration, Senator Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party.  They brought us this mess and refuse to assist in anyway in cleaning it up.  "We have to pass the law to see whats in it" - Nancy Pelosi.  Now we know!!!!

The Truth about Trek Bikes and Outsourcing

So Mary Burke and her brother are telling us that they are the largest manufacturer of Bikes in the US.

Well now lets get down to the nitty gritty.

Trek may be the largest manufacturer of Bikes in the U.S.  They also tell you that as they take heat for outsources their manufacturing of Bikes overseas in places like China.  So lets get to the bottom line.  Trek manufactures approximately 10,000 bikes in the U.S. annually.  They manufacture close to 1,000,000 mikes outside of the U.S.  A staggering 99.3% of their bikes are manufactured outside of the U.S.

The sad part is that they still won't answer the question of wages in places like China.  The average wage is $2 per hour, Mary Burke is arguing for a $10.10 wage here in Wisconsin.  They continue to dance around the question and never answering it.

Gun Control in Chicago

Chicago has some of the toughest gun control laws on the books.  Chicago also has some of the highest gun violence.

Just last weekend Chicago had 47 shootings, including an 11 year old girl who was killed by a stray bullet while sitting on the floor in a friends bedroom.

Yet we keep coming back to the same argument that we need more gun control.  If it isn't working in cities like Chicago and New York with the highest amount of crime what in the heck makes anyone think it is going to work anywhere else.

World Violence Heats up as Obama Cuts Military

Obama for the entire time of his Presidency has wanted to cut spending on our Military and increase spending on our Entitlements.  The argument has been that it is a new world and we have to transform.

Well 6 years into his Presidency and we have withdrawn our troops from Iraq, withdrawing our troops from Afghanistan, Obama has declared a win over Al Qaeda, apologized to the world for being big bullies, and has started trimming back our Military.

So, how is that going?  Let's take a look see shall we?

Iraq is in chaos,  Terrorist linked militants have turned the country back into a war zone with the Terrorists taking control of large portions of the country.  Obama has said that this is Iraq's problem to solve and we will advise them.  Good luck.

Syria is in a never ending civil war.  We told the leader of Syria if he crossed the line there would be consequences.  Not Really, just kidding.  We really didn't do anything.  We threatened him and then kind of walked away.

Russian backed separatists have moved into Ukraine.  Obama stood firm with Russia that we wouldn't stand for this.  We will put meaningful sanctions in place to stop them.  Well we put them in place and now we are learning that these same Russian backed militants shot down a civilian aircraft. Time for more sanctions.

Hamas has been launching rockets into Israel.  Israel has responded and is finally putting their foot down that they are not going to allow this to continue.  Obama wants the fighting to stop.  He will send Secretary of State Kerry to help.  I am sure that Israel is thankful for the support Mr. President.

North Korea has fired across the border several times over the last weeks.  Don't worry I am sure the President is on it.

Our Southern Border is being overrun by illegals.  Everyone fully admits that it is a crisis and could be putting our security at risk.  The numbers are so high that we can't control them and could allow terrorist to slip through.  Obama is on it.  Not really sure how, but if we take his word for it, he is on it.

So yep, the world is a much safer place.  No need for a strong Military.  The Bullies from the U.S. are gone and the world is a better place.

Thank you Mr. President.

Pensacola Widow Wins $23.6 Billion Lawsuit

Cynthia Robinson lost her husband to lung Cancer in 1996.  Smoking most likely was the cause for the 36 year old Michael Johnson Sr. got Cancer.

She sued R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and the jury has awarded her $23.6 Billion.

Although I agree that the Tobacco Companies have some liability here with the product that they have sold, but I also think that the users of that product have some responsibility themselves.  It wasn't really a secret anymore in the 1990's that Cigarettes were hazardous and caused lung cancer.

I also don't want to blame Michael for this either.  Smoking is addictive and very hard to quit.

I believe that maybe there should be a settlement to these families that have lost loved ones.  But seriously, $23.6 billion?

It is ridiculously stupid jury awards like this that make the whole system fall apart.  That isn't reasonable in any stretch of the imagination.

Make the jury awards somewhat reasonable and I think that you will find a lot more support for these types of lawsuits.

Mary Burke's Brother Steps in to Help, Oops

Mary Burke's brother has stepped in to help his sister, who is running for Governor of Wisconsin.

Mary Burke has been struggling to answer questions about her family company outsourcing jobs overseas.  She hasn't been able to answer questions about the wages and working conditions while she pushes for a $10.10 minimum wage here in Wisconsin.

Her brother has stepped in and decided to set the record straight.  John Burke is quoted as saying, "Mary Burke did not make any manufacturing decisions; I did"

Fair enough.  Then I guess we can stop talking about the Trek Bicycle company.

Wait!  But I thought that Mary took responsibility for the jobs that Trek created?  She has touted her decisions that created those jobs?  Is she a liar?  It sounds like John Burke made those decisions.

Manufacturing Job Growth in Wisconsin

Fond Du Lac is currently rated number 19 in the Country in Manufacturing Job Growth.  Up 26%+ in the last 4 years.  Racine comes in at 16%+ also.

Manufacturing appears to be making a turn around in the state and that is a good thing for workers.

Gov. Walker who had to fight off an attempt by the Democrats and the Union to recall him at the beginning of his term has found a way to keep pushing his jobs agenda.  Although he hasn't reached his goal that was derailed by the Dems and Union, he never wavered and has always made jobs a top priority.
