Brewer Catcher Lucroy Costs Cardinal Wainwright Again

Milwaukee Brewer Catcher Jonathan Lucroy cost Cardinal Pitcher Adam Wainwright again.  The Brewer Catcher made Wainwright look downright normal as a Pitcher. Wainwright sure didn't look like a Cy Young Candidate or an All Star starter.

Lucroy went 2 for 4 against Wainwright with a walk scoring twice and getting 3 RBI's as the Brewers hung a 7 spot on the Cardinal Ace.

I haven't heard any of the complaining from Cardinal Fans like during the All Star game.  When their Ace struggled they blamed it all on the Brewer Catcher.  It was his fault for calling a bad game.  It was totally ridiculous how much they whined.  Now they have a legitimate argument to blame the Brewer Player and you hear nothing.

The Brewers extended their Division lead to 3 games last night and will look to keep the winning streak going tonight as they face the Cardinals tonight again in St. louis

Violent Friday Night in Milwaukee

Today's TMJ4 is reporting that 5 people were shot in just under 4 hours last night in Milwaukee. Only one of the shootings resulted in a murder.  However one of the shootings also involved a 16 year old who was hit while sitting I. Their home.

I wonder what new plan the Mayor and Police Chief will come out with today?

I think we should have a Criminal Hot Line.  You can call in to a number and report a criminal to police.  Oh wait, we have that.

Maybe the Mayor should dump the $100 million street car idea and fund more boots on the street.  How about that.

Obama's Defense Plan Criticized in Bipartisan Report

"The National Defense Panel, led by former Defense Secretary William Perry and retired Marine Corps Gen. John Abizaid, criticized the Pentagon’s Quadrennial Defense Review for outlining military responsibilities that cannot be met because of sharp defense funding cuts" - FoxNews.com
It would appear that some people are finally catching on.  Obama's budgets are all about the social programs and not about protecting us.  Amazingly the National Debt continues to skyrocket under the Obama Administration yet, big items like National Security and Defense are seeing budget cuts.

What are the priorities?!

New Book Reveals VP Biden Swims in the Nude

A new book that is coming out about the Secret Service and the people that they protect is expected to drop some details about the people they protect.

One of the revelations being released is the VP Joe Biden likes to take swims in the nude.  Yep and you guessed it, the Protection Detail finds it to be very uncomfortable.  Can't really blame them there, who would want to see that?

They also claim that being on the detail to protect the VP is considered the second worst detail to get stuck on in the Secret Service.  What is the worst?  The Hillary Clinton detail.

Should make for some fun reading.

Democrat Power goes after Sheriff Clarke

The power in Milwaukee County appear to be on the attack in the Primary to take out Sheriff David Clarke.

Many people believe that Milwaukee County Exec Chris Abele is funding the attacks.  It wouldn't be much of a surprise as the County Exec has made it crystal clear that he doesn't like the Sheriff.  He has done everything in his power to take away funding and has put the people of Milwaukee County in Danger by cutting the Sheriff's labor force.

The power 3 in Milwaukee County have been systematically attacking the Sheriff for some time.  Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee D.A. John Chisholm have been on the attack in recent months as well.

Now add in Milwaukee's Democrat Leaning Newspaper and you have a steep hill for the Democratic Sheriff to climb.

The Sheriff does have one thing on his side, the voters of Milwaukee County.

The Sheriff is counting on Republican voters to cross over and vote in the Democratic Primary to help him survive the attacks.  In Wisconsin you can only vote in one of the primary's, either the Republican or the Democrat.  So in this case it will take the Republican crossover vote to help stave off the power and money being poured into the attacks on Sheriff Clarke.

Milwaukee's Justice system to Blame for High Crime

Mayor Barett and Chief Flynn are trying desperately to point the blame for Milwaukee's out of control crime problem on Madison.  That doesn't seem to be working as research and Madison is pointing the finger right back at Milwaukee.

Chief Flynn, during a radio call in show, blamed Madison for making Milwaukee “prisoners of the laws as written.”

However in a Right Wisconsin Story, Media Trackers Research suggested the Milwaukee Justice System is to blame:

But as Media Trackers showed in our report, 10 of the 16 individuals that used a gun to commit a homicide/murder were previous felons and committing a felony simply by having the gun they used in their crimes.

Media Trackers also reported that 15 of the 33 individuals whose cases had concluded received a combined 220 years in prison and 128 years of extended supervision of the 952 years of imprisonment they were eligible for. Thirteen of the 15 cases had also been plea bargained.

While Fitzgerald, Flynn and Barrett trade jabs over the role the state should play in reducing Milwaukee’s crime, according to our own research, Fitzgerald is on solid ground when pointing to the Milwaukee justice system’s reliance on plea bargaining and soft sentencing.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Upholds Act 10 in It's Entirety

The Wisconsin Supreme Court in a 5-2 Decision Upheld Act 10 in it's decision released today.

Justice Gableman wrote the Majority Opinion:

"We now uphold Act 10 in its entirety."

The plaintiffs have insisted at every stage of litigation in this case that they are not arguing a constitutional right exists to collectively bargain.  It is evident, however, that they really are, for without such a constitutional right, their challenge fails.  The plaintiffs' reliance on Lawson hinges on the defendants conditioning the receipt of a benefit on the relinquishment of a constitutional right, but as the plaintiffs acknowledge, collective bargaining——no matter the specific statutory limitations at issue——is not constitutionally protected.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Upholds Voter ID Law

The Wisconsin Supreme Court voted to uphold the Voter ID Bill as Constitutional.

The law is still on hold as it is being worked through the Federal Courts as well.  However the Wisconsin Supreme Court noted in their ruling a United States Supreme Court ruling that also upholds the Law.

There were two cases that were before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  The first was a challenge by the NAACP:

"We conclude that plaintiffs have failed to prove Act 23 unconstitutional beyond a reasonable doubt. In League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Education Network, Inc. v. Walker, 2014 WI 97, __ Wis. 2d __, __ N.W.2d __, also released today, we concluded that requiring an elector to present Act 23-acceptable photo identification in order to vote is not an additional elector qualification. Id.,  In the present case, we conclude that the burdens of time and inconvenience associated with obtaining Act 23-acceptable photo identification are not undue burdens on the right to vote and do not render the law invalid.

We conclude, as did the United Stated Supreme Court in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board, 553 U.S. 181 (2008), that "the inconvenience of making a trip to [a state motor vehicle office], gathering the required documents, and posing for a photograph surely does not qualify as a substantial burden on the right to vote."

The Second was by the League of Women Voters against the Legislature overstepping their authority in requiring voter ID:

We conclude that the legislature did not exceed its authority under Article III of the Wisconsin Constitution when it required electors to present Act 23-acceptable photo identification. Since 1859, we have held that "it is clearly within [the legislature's] province to require any person offering to vote[] to furnish such proof as it deems requisite[] that he is a qualif[i]ed elector." Cothren v. Lean, 9 Wis. 254 (*279), 258 (*283-84) (1859). Requiring a potential voter to identify himself or herself as a qualified elector through the use of Act 23-acceptable photo identification does not impose an elector qualification in addition to those set out in Article III, Section 1 of the Wisconsin Constitution.

We also conclude that the requirement to present Act 23-acceptable photo identification comes within the legislature's authority to enact laws providing for the registration of electors under Article III, Section 2 because Act 23-acceptable photo identification is the mode by which election officials verify that a potential voter is the elector listed on the registration list.

Finally, we conclude that plaintiff's facial challenge fails because Act 23's requirement to present photo identification is a reasonable regulation that could improve and modernize election procedures, safeguard voter confidence in the outcome of elections and deter voter fraud. See Crawford v. Marion Cnty. Election Bd., 553 U.S. 181, 191 (2008). Accordingly, we affirm the decision of the court of appeals.

Sueing the President, Good or Bad?

The House is expected to approve the Lawsuit against the President today for breaching his constitutional duties by failing to enforce laws as written and for changing laws without the approval of Congress.

Is this a good or a bad thing?

It is always a bad thing when one branch of Government has to fight with another branch in the courts to decide who is right.

However, it appears that it is a needed lawsuit at this time to help put our Government back into proper operation.  There has been such a divided Government in Washington that I think we have failed to operate within the confines of the Constitution.

There has been so many things that have changed over the last several years that have pushed the envelope on how the Government is suppose to work.  The President has overstepped his authority on many occasions and has been called on it by the Supreme Court.  Even his own appointees have agreed that he has overstepped.  Senate Leader Harry Reid has changed the rules in the Senate to allow them to pass appointees through.

It is time that we call on the Courts to help sort this out.  It is time that we pull back these activities and get back to how the Government was meant to run.

The Constitution was set up so that no branch had too much power.  The President and Harry Reid were frustrated under the constitution that their power was put in check.  They changed the rules.  Both sides claim to right in their decisions.  So now we need the court to weigh in and make the ultimate decision.

Again, it is so very sad that it has gotten to this, but I think it is necessary.  There are checks and balances on the power for a reason and to take them out have caused chaos.  Time to put them back in.

Impeach Obama

Impeach Obama.  Lets face it, many on the Right have thought about it.  This President's Administration has committed more crimes than Nixon could have dreamed of.  He has overstepped his authority on so many occasions that we have lost track.  The IRS Scandal alone is bigger than Nixon's Watergate and yet nothing.  Forget about the Black Panther suit during the election, forget about Benghazi, the Terrorist Negotiations, VA Scandal, Border Crisis, Iraq Situation, Afghanistan, Syria, Israel, Obamacare and did I forget any?

Yep we have thought about it.  However there really hasn't been any talk of Impeaching the guy.  Well at least not until Obama himself and his Democratic friends started talking about it.  They are using it to try and fire up their base to hold on to the Senate. Yep the Senate is their all important prize right now.  Without the Senate they can no longer stall Congress.  They can no longer keep anything from getting done.

They like to blame the Republicans for the stalled Congress, however it is just as much on the Democrats in the Senate as it is the Republicans in the House.  The Senate stops every bill passed by the House of Representatives because it is controlled by Republicans.  The same for the House stopping the Senate.  Just put the bills up for a vote.  If they fail they fail, if not they pass and Obama has to decide on a Veto.

The Senate is the prize this election year.  If the Senate stays in the control of the Democrats then the Status Quo will be preserved.  Nothing will get done and Obama will continue to overstep his authority by Executive Action instead of by Congress.  That will be because again nothing will be getting done because of Politics on both sides.  Should the Senate fall to the Republicans then you are sure to see bill after bill passed and senate to the President for his Veto.  Nothing again will get done, but it will all fall on the President's lap and the Democrats don't want that.

So now we are back to the Impeachment talk.  The Democrats have to rally their base which has dwindled to less than enthusiastic under Obama's second term.  They can't allow the Senate to fall.  They can't allow everything to fall on the President.  This will have lasting effect going into the next Presidential Election.  So yes the stakes are high.

It is all about the SENATE!!!!

Brewers Showing Interest in Two Top Pitchers

The Brewers are having a great season.  They are looking toward the playoffs and their pitching have shown some signs of slipping.  The Brewers may be looking to make a splash in the near future.

Reports are surfacing that the Brewers have shown some interest in John Lester of the cellar dwelling Boston Red Sox and David Price from Tampa Bay.  Both Pitchers would make a mark in the Pennant race if Milwaukee can land them.

Milwaukee is in Tampa right now and will get a close up look at the Rays David Price.

IRS Scandal Grows by the Day

The IRS Scandal doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.  In fact it seems to keep growing by the day.

We learned that there is a glimmer of chance that Lois Lerner's emails may still be around and that would be a windfall of information.  Everyone is pretty sure that she is hiding something and that something is pretty big.

Now as the investigation widens amazingly the IRS is falling on the same story for cover.  Claiming that several others that are now being investigated had computer crashes that destroyed evidence, oops I mean emails.

It may be months even years before it all comes out.  Eventually someone will talk.

When they do, I hope like hell that we have someone else in the DOJ that will throw the book at them and put people in prison!!!!  This is ridiculous the amount of politics that is being played and the thought that this may have been used to help win an election cuts right to the core of this country. It can not be tolerated and should not be tolerated by anyone from either side of the aisle.  Unfortunately for now it looks like they will continue to just play politics and hope that the truth doesn't come out anytime soon.

Ald. Bob Donovan announces run for Mayor

Ald. Bob Donovan today announced that he will be making a run at the Mayor for Milwaukee.

The election is in the spring of 2016.

Donovan is well known for being an outspoken leader in the city. You may not always agree with him, but one thing you can't look past is his passion for the City.

There is very little doubt that the city of Milwaukee needs to make a change in the leadership at the top and Donovan may just be the man to turn the city around.

The election is still a long way off and we will undoubtedly hear from Ald. Donovan on his plans and who else will be in the running.
