As I watched the Police Memorial in Dallas yesterday I was Extremely impressed with the Speeches by the Senator, Mayor, Chief of Police and President Bush. They really touched on things that you talk about when you are at a Memorial. They celebrated the lives of the Officers, Supported their families and talked about healing.
Then President Obama took to the Microphone. I was impressed early on in the speech how he talked about the Officers and their families. Then he decided to take a spin and turn it into a Political Stump speech. He started talking about Black Lives Matter, Race and the shootings by Police officers.
I sat and watched in horror as the Police Officers and Families of the fallen sat visibly uncomfortable in the audience. They stopped clapping and you could see them upset about the speech.
I have never been a big Obama Supporter obviously, but this just was absurd. He was not a leader and he used this memorial to push his agenda. It was sad and I felt for the families. George Bush and the Police Chief showed more leadership and care for the Country than Obama did with much shorter speeches. They did not pick sides, but talked of healing and coming together.

From a Former Listener of Talk Radio
I listened for many years to talk radio. It was my fix for getting my political news and really enjoyed.
Now I am a recovering listener. I now don't turn it on and have transitioned to enjoying listening to music on my drive times.
Over the past year I have gotten so fed up with the local talk radio that I can't stomach the craziness that it has become. It seems that the opinions of the host is that they know better than anyone and everyone is stupid and wrong for having different beliefs and thought patterns than them. I have been closely watching the GOP to see how they handle this convention and election. I have always been a strong Republican and have found myself for the first time answering the question of party as Independent. The GOP is fracturing and when people can't listen to both sides and work together, then I am not sure this party represents me anymore.
So for now I am enjoying listening to great music on other stations and watching to see if the GOP is going to work together or fall apart.
For the Record, Democrats have just as big a mess as the GOP has going on.

The Problem with Black Lives Matter
There is a fundamental problem with the Black Lives Matter movement. That problem stems from the name itself.
All lives matter! By making the movement about one race is in itself racist. It seems to me that the movement is about what is perceived as Law Enforcements actions against people. Does it really matter if it is against a black person, white person or anybody else? If you only care about one race, then that in itself is racist.
The President should key in on this himself. He wants to be a leader, but is failing miserably.
Until you make things all inclusive then you will continue to have racism. You can't have things that include one race and not another and then complain about racism. It just doesn't work that way.
Until we as a society quit having these organizations and events that are designed for one race and not inclusive of everyone, we will never take down the wall of racism.
