Milwaukee Police Union Vote 99.3% No Confidence in Chief

The Milwaukee Police Union has now voted and said what many in the Milwaukee Area have thought for some time.  Ever since he has pretty much become nothing more than a lap dog for the Mayor.

Today's TMJ-4 Story

UPDATE: The police union voted 99.3 percent 'no confidence' against Milwaukee police chief Edward Flynn.

Only .7 percent voted confidence.

The results were presented at a news conference with Mike Crivello, the president of the Milwaukee Police Association, Friday afternoon.

Wisconsin Governors Race Prediction

We are only a few days away from the Election.

The race for Governor of Wisconsin is suppose to be a close race and turnout will be the determining factor.

My Predication for the Election?

I don't really believe that it is as close as everyone thinks it is.  If the Democratic Candidate was a strong Candidate that really made people want to vote for Her then it might be a close election.  However I think this election really has boiled down to those in favor of Scott Walker and those who vote for anyone but Scott Walker.  That doesn't build much enthusiasm to get out the vote for the Democrats.  It will be their hardcore left voters that get out and not a full on get out the vote.

Republicans are fighting to protect a Popular Governor for them.  With over 90% of Republicans likely to vote.  Democrats are just barely over 80% and Independents are sitting just below 80%.

The Marquette Poll shows the Gender Gap for this election

Among likely voters, Burke’s lead among women is 49-43 while Walker’s lead among men is 58-36
The other big factor in the election will be the Independent Voters.  Again the Marquette Poll shows how that stacks up in favor of Gov. Walker.
Likely voters who are independents support Walker over Burke by 52 percent to 37 percent
Lastly taking a look deeper into the numbers, a Majority of Wisconsin Voters believe the State is headed in the right direction.  Historically if Voters feel that way then making a change is not necessary.  Also weighing on the Challenger is the connection between Mary Burke and the President.  His approval ratings are in the 40% range and the perception of Voters that the Country is headed in the wrong direction.

Finish it off with the most telling number for this election in perception of the Candidates themselves.  The poll showed that 63% of Voters felt Gov. Walker was someone who could get things done and only 42% felt that way about Mary Burke.

Taking all of this into consideration, I believe that turnout will have a lot to do with the final results, Walker will re-election without it being all that close.  I think with a large turnout he still wins by 4-6 points.

Buck's Owners Negotiating to Buy Land for Arena

The good news is that the new Milwaukee Bucks Owners are fully involved in trying to get a new Arena in Downtown Milwaukee.  They aren't just sitting back and pushing for it, they are full throttle ahead involved.

It is the type of commitment that I think will make the public commit to helping make it happen.

Usually Ownership involvement consists of the Owners just threatening to move the team to a new city or state if they don't get what they want.  Not with these Owners.  They are All In.

Todays TMJ Story

The Milwaukee Bucks' co-owners are reportedly attempting to buy the property that is the corporate home of Journal Communications and the main offices of the Journal Sentinel.
According to an OnMilwaukee.com report, co-owners Wes Edens and Marc Lasry would buy the land and buildings which encompass the space between North 3rd and 4th Streets, and between west Kilbourn and State Streets.  They would then use that land to build a new arena for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The land is also used by Major Goolsby's, a famous sports bar.

In its story, OnMilwaukee.com cites several sources which it says come from the Milwaukee Department of City Development and the real estate industry.  They also say there are architectural plans for that site.

The arena would theoretically not just be home for the Bucks, but Marquette men's basketball, the Milwaukee Admirals, numerous concerts and other sports and entertainment events.

According to the OnMilwaukee.com report, the Bucks are still looking into numerous possible downtown Milwaukee sites, but the Journal Sentinel location is their preferred site.

Democrats Question Timing of News on Burke Firing

Democrats and even their Newspaper the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel are questioning the timing of the release of information about Mary Burke being fired from her family owned company.

They claim this is Politically Motivated in an effort to help Gov. Walker win re-election.

First of all.  Maybe it is Politically Motivated.  Maybe it is the October Surprise.  Who really cares?  Is it dirty politics?  Quite Possibly.  Do the Democrats and the Milwaukee Journal have a case to argue if any of the above is true?  I don't recall either of them make the same accusations when County Exec Chris Abele decided to release 16,000 emails related to the John Doe Investigation last week on the same day that Mary Burke released an Ad attacking Walker on the John Doe Investigation.  No claims of Politically Motivated.  No questions of the timing.

Could it possibly be that the Republicans took a page out of the Democratic playbook and have beaten them at their own game?  Absolutely.

I have said in many posts on here that when you play partisan politics, you can't cry when it comes back to bite you.

Well, Mary Burke and the Democrats just got bit.

Facts about Fact Checking Burke and Walker Claims

If you want to fact check what the Candidates and their Allies are saying, Politifact claims to do just that.  However you have to read into the details to understand their ratings.

I decided to dive in and check out Mary Burke and Scott Walker.  They have made many claims and a lot of them were fact checked by Politifact Wisconsin.

I did not give credit for Half Truths, I considered those not being completely honest and only tell part of the story to make themselves look good.

So when I looked back through all of the ratings here is what I found out. I used the same time frame so both could be fairly matched up.

Scott Walker was fact checked 44 times.  Of those 23 times he was rated as telling the truth.  That works out to 52% of the time we got the whole story and it was truthful.

Mary Burke was fact checked only 33 times.  Of those 10 times she was rated as telling the truth.  That works out to 30% of the time we got the whole story and it was truthful.

Mary Burke Life at Trek not so Rosey - Oops

From WisDems.com:

Mary Burke is running for Governor because she knows the people of Wisconsin deserve better. A better economy that creates more good paying jobs. A brighter future and more opportunities for our children through education. And better leadership that brings people together to solve problems.

So that is what is posted by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.  That is what She and They want you to believe.

So can she do it?

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Two former high-level executives of Trek Bicycle claim that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke was forced out as head of European operations for her family's business 21 years ago — an allegation that Burke and the company denied, labeling it a last-minute smear campaign.

"I'm not saying she was incompetent," said Tom Albers, former Trek chief operating officer who left the company in 1997. "Maybe this job was too big for her."

Mary Burke's Response:

"The truth is that after getting five additional offices up and running and managing seven operations, we decided to restructure and there was no need for my position and two of the people reporting to me could directly report to people in the United States,"

So Lets understand this.  She wasn't fired?  Instead we are suppose to believe that after she was the central figure responsible for building the European Market from $3 Million to $50 Million, they restructured and her job was eliminated?  She was downsized out of her family's own company?

Then we had this.

Right Wisconsin:

The sales team threatened to quit if Burke was not removed from her position as director of European Operations, according to Gary Ellerman, who served as Trek’s human resources director for more than 21 years. His account was confirmed by three other former employees.

Let us now refer back to what she and the Democratic Party have on their website.   She is running for Governor because Wisconsin needs "better leadership that brings people together to solve problems."

Sounds like she had a problem with that at Trek.  Doesn't appear that she was bringing people together to solve problems.

New Marquette Poll Puts Walker Solidly Ahead

The Marquette Poll. Is considered by many as the Gold standard.  Most people who are in the know have consistently thought Walker would win re-election and that it wouldn't necessarily be very close.

Now the latest Marquette Poll appears to agree.

Walker leads among Likely voters 50-43.

Also in the AG race Republican Brad Schimel is leading Democrat Susan Happ 43-39.

Best News of the Week....Honey Boo Boo Cancelled

In a world that has quickly become filled with silly Reality TV, we got some much overdue news this week when TLC Announced it was Cancelling the Series.

The sad part was that it took reports of June Shannon, the mother, again seeing her ex.  He was convicted of molesting June's older daughter and sentenced to prison.  He did his time and was out and back with June.

She tried to deny it, but pictures had surfaced proving the fact.

So the show now is cancelled and America is a much better place because of it.

Ex-CBS Employee Talks Journalistic Bias

So now I am interested to hear all of the Liberal Activists who have tried to claim that this isn't happening.  Most Americans know that news in America isn't the news anymore.  It is spin based on the News Stations political views.

Investors.com Story

Journalism: If honest reporters were allowed to do their jobs and report the truth about Benghazi, Republican candidate Mitt Romney might be president today. That's the conclusion of one silenced network correspondent.

In a chilling new expose, former veteran CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson reveals how big media honchos in New York protected President Obama by pulling the plug on Benghazi and a parade of other scandal stories dogging his administration.

"If we knew everything then that we know now, I think that would have been really devastating to (Obama's re-election) campaign," she said about the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks, which Obama falsely blamed on an Internet video to head off campaign questions about his foreign policy strategy.
Her soon-to-be-released book, "Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington," puts to rest any doubts the Big Media are in the tank for Obama and Democrats. It also corroborates similar liberal bias whistleblowing by former CBS News colleague, Bernie Goldberg.

We can't remember a more damning insider account of how the Big Media cover for Democrats and manipulate public opinion to advance liberal causes.

Eager to shield a Democratic president from criticism, Attkisson's liberal bosses actually worked with the White House to neutralize her investigative reporting. When she refused to back down, they tried to smear her reputation. At the same time, she says the administration hacked into both her work and home computers to monitor her emails.

Attkisson, who calls herself "politically agnostic," left CBS in protest after 20 years of award-winning investigative reporting for the network.

Does Harry Reid Feel like an Idiot Yet

Exactly.

Real Clear Politics

You have to wonder if Harry Reid feels like an idiot yet. For years now, the Senate majority leader has been cynically protecting Democratic senators — and President Obama — from difficult votes. The rationale was pretty straightforward. He wanted to spare vulnerable Democrats named Mark — Arkansas’s Mark Pryor, Alaska’s Mark Begich and Colorado’s Mark Udall — and a few others from having to take difficult votes on issues such as the Keystone XL pipeline, EPA rules, and immigration reform.

The problem for the Marks and other red- or swing-state Democrats is that, having been spared the chance to take tough votes, they now have little to no evidence they’d be willing to stand up to a president who is very unpopular in their states.

Thanks to Reid’s strategy of kicking the can down the road, GOP challengers now get to say, “My opponent voted with the president 97 percent of the time.” Democrats are left screeching “war on women!” and “Koch brothers!”

For instance, Reid killed bipartisan legislation on energy efficiency in May by denying senators the right to offer amendments. This was a wildly partisan and nearly unprecedented move, blocking the Senate from debating important issues. He did so because he feared that GOP amendments — on the Keystone pipeline, for instance — would pass with Democratic support, angering the White House.
I’m sure Senator Mary Landrieu, (D., La.) would love to be able to tout such a vote now. But she supported Reid’s tactic, shooting herself in the foot in the process.

Of course, this assumes these allegedly independent Democrats would have broken with Obama. But whether they would have or not, wouldn’t our politics be healthier if we had an answer to that question?

Obama Crowd Begins Leaving During Speech

It appears that Obama just doesn't deliver like he used too.

Live feeds of the Obama Speech at the rally for Mary Burke showed that attendees began leaving the event while the President was still giving his speech.

Not exactly what you want to see if you are the President, Mary Burke or the Democratic Party Leadership.

Mary Burke Was Fired from Her Family Business

Mary Burke has struggled on multiple accounts to get her message out on the Campaign Trail.  She has had to leave it mostly to her Ads and the help of her Allies.  Now in the latest big news about Mary Burke we find out that it is nothing new for her.  She was reported fired from her family business.

Right Wisconsin Story:

In attempting to explain her two-year work hiatus in the early to mid-1990s, Democratic candidate for governor Mary Burke has said she was just burned out after an intense period of leading European operations for Trek Bicycle Corp., her family’s Waterloo-based global manufacturer.
In fact, Burke apparently was fired by her own family following steep overseas financial losses and plummeting morale among Burke’s European sales staff, multiple former Trek executives and employees told Wisconsin Reporter.
The sales team threatened to quit if Burke was not removed from her position as director of European Operations, according to Gary Ellerman, who served as Trek’s human resources director for more than 21 years. His account was confirmed by three other former employees.
“She was not performing. She was (in) so far over her head. She didn’t understand the bike business,” said Ellerman who started with Trek in 1992, at the tail end of Burke’s first stint as a manager at Trek.
Ellerman said Richard Burke, Mary Burke’s father and founder of the family business, asked Tom Albers, Trek president and chief financial officer at the time, to fly to Amsterdam to evaluate Mary’s performance.
It wasn’t a pretty picture. The European operations were in disarray, Ellerman said.

More Voting Machines Changing Votes to Dems

First it was in the Chicago area, voting machines were counting Republican votes for Democrats.  We heard it was a calibration error.

Now we hear the same thing happening in Maryland, and guess what, the same explanation.  Funny how it isn't Democratic votes changing.

FOX News

Voting machines that switch Republican votes to Democrats are being reported in Maryland.
“When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the ‘x’ on the candidate I chose — a Republican — but it would put the ‘x’ on the Democrat candidate
“This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat. Sometimes it required four or five tries to get the ‘x’ to stay on my real selection,” the Frederick, Md., resident said last week.
Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem, too, personally.
“This is happening here as well. It occurred on two candidates on my machine. I am glad I checked. Many voters have reported this here as well,” Hofmann, a Republican, wrote in an email Sunday evening.
Two other Maryland voters reported the same in Anne Arundel County on Friday.

Bill Penzey Tells his Customers What to Think Again

Here we go again.  Bill Penzey has decided to use his catalog as a way for him to throw out his rants.

This time he really through around a whopper.  By that I mean one that just makes you shake your head and wonder how this man ever was able to build Penzey Spices.

He rants about the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs.  Throwing out a comparison, that never seems to connect, to the Holocaust.

To be honest, I know I am just a normal person, it seemed a lot like someone just jabbering on and on.  Never really making a point that is coherent to a majority of people.  But then again, I don't think a Majority of the people want to connect with the idiotic things that seem to be printed in his catalogs.

I still don't quite understand the need of a Spice Maker to try and get into the realm of Politics and Political Correctness.  At least not using the Company Catalog to do so.  But then again, this man doesn't really seem to give a care one way or the other for his customers.  Insulting them and telling them what and how they should think.
