Obama's Job Rating Poll
The Gallup Organization on Saturday said 68 percent of Americans approve of Obama's first three full days as the nation's chief executive. That's a number near the high end for new presidents, but short of President John F. Kennedy's 72 percent in 1961. Gallup's poll found that 12 percent in the survey disapprove of Obama's job performance. That number is typical of all presidents.
Obama took office with very high polling numbers and the numbers have slipped, but remain very high. I would expect to see the numbers continue to dip as he continues to push his spending bill (oops, Stimulus Package) through Congress.
According to Real Clear Politics Polling Averages, Congress continues to show only a 21.8 approval rating. Keep an eye on these numbers over the next several weeks.
