Today is all about Stimulus, Spendulus

Axelrod denied the president has lost ground during the up-and-downs of congressional debate on the $800-plus billion spending and tax cut package -- the largest single expenditure designed to spur economic growth since the Great Depression.

"The public polling is still robust for us and for the plan," Axelrod said.

Obama and the Democrats appear to have lost the Public Relations war on the Stimulus Package. This is bad news for them. They also appear to be ready to ram it through regardless of what the Republicans think and don't seem to care about what the public wants as well.

The worst news for them, is this is only the beginning. They are already being looked at as partisan big spenders, and they have a whole host of other spending that they want to force through. Even though it would seem the GOP is going to lose this battle, it may be a worthwhile battle to lose. They can't be in a better position. They have fought hard against it, the public polls show that a vast majority of the American People agree with them, yet the Democrats are going to force it through. This sets the GOP up to win the overall War.

Obama and his party continue to try and sell the public on this idea that this is going to solve the economic crisis. This will not. It is a stop gap measure that will only prolong the overall economic crisis in America. Listen, it has been discussed many times over, this will put people to work but only temporarirly. It will be a boom for some states and some unions, but it will not fix the economy. We eventually have to pay for it. Pay for it we will! Democrats will undoubtedly raise taxes as quickly as posible, saying it is needed to stop the deficit spending.
