ESPN.com is reporting that the New York Yankees have offered Brewers starter CC Sabathia the largest contract ever for a free agent pitcher.
The offer is worth more than $138 million over 6 years.
The Brewers may be out of the running on this one. Even so, you have to like the fact that they gave it a real effort. You just compete financially with teams like the Yankees or Red Sox.
