Obama has said that Closing the Gitmo Detention Facility was key to making America Safer. It was one of his first orders. However, he hasn't been able to sell that to the American Public.

Obama has said there is no wiggle room in the Stimulus for a change in the Taxes. He also said he doesn't have to compromise, remember "I Won" America doesn't agree with him on this either.
There are signs that Americans are receptive to Republicans' push to increase the proportion of tax cuts in the stimulus bill: Asked whether higher government spending or tax cuts for business would be more effective in ending the recession, 59 percent choose the tax cuts. Obama has said that America needs this Stimulus Bill and We need it Now. America isn't sold on his bill. He hasn't been able to sell it to the Republicans and some Democrats, and he hasn't sold it to the American Public.

Just to throw this in. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. She throws her little parties and tells us repeatedly that she is doing what Americans want. They spoke at the polls. Well Nancy they are speaking now as well. You are not well liked.
