Where is the Bailout Money Going?

OK, seriously. I was reading this CBS News article and was just floored that the overtone was to blame the Republicans. Lets take a walk down memory lane.

The Presidential election is in full swing. The Democratic leadership of Reid and Pelosi are working round the clock with the President to get together a bailout package that will stop the bleeding in the Financial Markets.

They have reached agreement and are ready for the Vote. Wait, what happened? Those Damn Republicans voted against it. Forget the fact that if the Democrats wanted it passed, they had more than enough in their party to get it done. But NO, this had to be bi-partisan. They all went into a rant and rave, the Republicans blaming the Democratic Leadership and the Democrats saying John McCain couldn't even deliver his own party. The Republicans and Some Democrats thought it was a bad idea all along. The Democratic Leadership swore that they wanted stiff Regulation and oversight.

"The original idea: Spend $700 billion in tax dollars to buy troubled mortgage-related assets from struggling banks. " - CBS News

"But the actual bailout calls for nothing of the sort. Instead, your tax dollars are buying massive shares in some of the nation's biggest and most successful banks - with virtually no strings attached. And that's all allowed under Congress' plan" - CBS News

Wow. The old bait and switch. I can't understand how talented News People like Katie Couric, wouldn't have been all over this from the beginning. No Way!!!

Now the Brain Trust in Washington want to do the same for the Automobile Industry!!!!

This is going to be a long 2 years.

By the way, the bailouts passed thus far including the Stimulus package round out to $5 Trillion Dollars. If you read my bailout plan (Click) I thought I would put some figures to it. If you took everyone who voted in the last election (124,286,041) and divided it into the $5 Trillion already, we could have all taken in $40,0000. Now that would sure help pay off my debt and help the economy, how about you?

Shawano Residents were Pontential Victims

WISN is reporting in a Story that 60 Shawan Residents have been notified by the FBI that they were potential victims of an implied threat.

The FBI said no other details will be released as this is part of an ongoing investigation.

Stay tuned, this sounds pretty intriguing.

Another Bailout

Ok, the big bailout of the Banking Industry is costing us 100's of Billions of dollars, Now Obama and Pelosi want to bail out the Auto Industry. I got one for you!!!!

Here we go, let's do a bailout of the America People. My plan will save everyone and I guarantee you that the Economy will go into an instant boom. It will save the Banks, it will save the Auto Industry, it will curb the Housing Industry, the Retail Industry, everyone will be in Great shape.

Lets immediately get together in Washington and Bailout the American People. If you pay taxes, then put together a list of all your debt. Washington will collect the list of debts and pay all of them off. They don't have to do it in one shot, just take over the loans and pay them off over the next 10 years. Put the credit back the way it was, you have to establish a credit rating and have collateral to get credit so we don't get back in this mess.

With everyone being out of debt, and cutting off the line that caused everyone to have such easy access to credit we will see a boom in the economy. We all would have more liquid assets to plan for our future. (WOW, we can also help solve the Social Security problem because we will be able to afford our own retirement.) We will be spending more and there will be more money circulating through the economy instead of on bad credit.

The Banks will be guaranteed payment on their loans over the next 10 years, and that will help them. The automakers can get a big lump sum payment up front to payoff the car loans that they stupidly made on the 0% interest loan programs, which will help them out.

I'll bet you that Obama has already thought about all of this and is well on his way to working in a bi-partisan way to get this passed as soon as possible.

Wisconsin Deficit to Reach $5 Billion

I can remember the last election when everyone was telling me that Jim Doyle is doing a great job. He has lowered taxes and is balancing the budget. Why vote for Mark Green.

Well here we are, my taxes haven't went down, as a matter of fact I think I am paying more. The budgets aren't balanced and we face a $5 Billion deficit.

I don't know about you, but when the household income changes, so does the things that we get. We have to adjust our spending to keep within budget. I sure wish that I could just spend and spend without a care in the world. It doesn't matter that we don't have the money.

I blame not having enough money to do what I want on the Government. If I didn't have to pay taxes, I would have plenty of money. Hell, just give me one year off of paying taxes and I would be great shape.

Smoking Ban in Wisconsin

It appears that with the incoming State Legislature and a Governor in support, A State Wide Smoking Ban is poised to be fast tracked through the system.

I don't Smoke, My Wife quit smoking a few years ago. However I am against the Government making these types of decisions. I know that Smoking is bad for you, I know that second hand smoke is just as deadly. I understand all of that. If you choose to smoke, that is your decision. It is legal to smoke. If you don't like it don't go where Smoking is allowed. Each Business should have the right to decide on whether smoking will be allowed or not.

Today it is smoking. What next? Fast Food is bad for you as well, do we ban fast food? If you remember Madison attempted to curb fast food by not allowing drive throughs in certain areas.

Obama Dictatorship?

Is Obama planning on setting up his own National Security force? Fox News has a story from one Republican Congressman who thinks he my be ready to do just that. Fox News Story

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," Obama said in July. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

It is no secret that Obama and the Democratically controlled Congress is going to put on an all out assault on Gun Rights and Gun Ownership over the next few years.

Man Claims West Allis Police Beat him

WISN 12 News is reporting that Mike Stanke has filed a complaint against the West Allis Police Department.

You can see the cuts and bruises on his face. He claims that he was asleep in a car parked near 85th and Greenfield when Police came. He admits that he had too much to drink and had words for them, he also admits to banging his head on the window to get them to come over to him.

We will have to keep an eye on this over the coming days and weeks. Hopefully the W.A. Police have some video to clear this up quickly.

Internet Politics

In the new age and the recent elections, is the Main Stream media becoming more of an after thought? Newspapers have already pretty much gone by the wayside. If you want to read a newspaper just go online. Many of them as well as Magazines have gone to the digital age.

Now, after seeing what Obama accomplished, this may be the wave of the future for elections. The News Media who once reported the news instead of being on one side or the other may find themselves becoming increasing irrelevant as more and more people utilize the Internet to find the news.

Obama who ran much of his campaign via grass roots on the Internet, you can bet the Republicans will follow suit. So where does that leave normal Media Outlets?

Packers Lose Again / Titans improve to 9-0

The Packers dropped another game, this time to the hated Minnesota Vikings. Not only did the Packers lose, they had to watch as the Vikings tied the Bears for the Division Lead. I'd bet if #4 was there things would be different, NOT!!! Come on people, the defense is horrible. How many yard did Peterson end up with anyway. Clik Here

On the other hand, how about those TITANS!!!! 9-0!!!! They have beaten everyone they have faced this year, and beaten the top 3 teams of the NFC North, Green Bay, Minnesota, and now the Bears. They will face the Lions on Thanksgiving. Oh yeah, and just for fun tune in two weeks from now they face the beloved Brett and the Jets.
