Obama Camp blames Fox News

"Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Monday accused FOX News of pushing a "fake news controversy" to further an agenda. Though FOX News played the audio tape for its viewers and did not just recap Republican criticism, Burton suggested FOX News was conspiring with the McCain campaign and the Drudge Report, which posted the material on its Web Site." - FOX News story

I heard the tape played on a local radio station, and I didn't seem to find it a "fake news controversy". Quite honestly I found it to say exactly what I have been hearing from Obama. He has said on many occasions that he believes that the Government needs to raise the taxes on the top 5% of Americans and give opportunity to the other 95%. We can argue as to whether or not he is taxing only the top 5% later. Read between the lines. If you are increasing the taxes on the top 5% and giving tax credits to the other 95% that is, and I quote Obama, "Spreading the wealth around." No matter how you phrase it, you are redistributing the wealth, you are taking money from someone and giving it to someone else.

This radio interview in 2001 essentially says the same thing. I posted that interview in an earlier post. listen

Now, for the tax issue. I am not sure how you can say that you are cutting the taxes on 95% of the people when you first plan to roll back the Bush Tax Cuts. Those tax cuts applied to more than just 5% of the American Population. So those peoples taxes would increase. I make far less than $250,000 a year and my taxes would go up. Obama's campaign says they are not raising those taxes, they are eliminated a tax cut not raising the taxes. hmmm. They also want to raise the Capital Gains tax, 33% of all Americans have money that would fall into this bracket. If you raise the Capital Gains tax aren't you in essence then raising the taxes on 33% of the population? Far more than the 5% you claim.

Listen to the tape. I believe you can make up your own mind about whether Obama truly believes in spreading the wealth around or not.

Milwaukee County Board wants to raise Sales Tax 1%

The Milwaukee County Board wants to raise the sales tax by 1%. Their reasoning is that they want to relieve the burden on our property taxes. Are you kidding me?! If that truly is the case, why isn't there a Property Tax Cut out there as well? I would support it if there was.

But since there isn't lets look at this a little closer. Now remember I am not a politician, therefore I am not an expert at this at all. This sounds alot like the Obama Plan. Raise the taxes so they can pay for more things. This will raise approximately $63 million, they say. OK, we can count on $63 million in property tax relief? oops, i forgot. Anyway, if you raise the sales tax, what is to stop the consumers from going out of the country, I mean county to shop? Things will inevitably be cheaper by at least 1%. If that happens, won't that make Milwaukee less attractive to business? If I am looking to put in a business, won't it be more attractive to go to a surrounding county?

In a time when the economy is down, we already live in a tax hell here in Wisconsin let alone around Milwaukee, what are they doing?

Bush's Failed Economic Policies

I keep hearing about the failed Economic Policies of George Bush. I think I might need some help here.

As I look through the reports I notice that when Bush took office we were in the midst of a recession. That recession was left for him by Clinton. Unemployment was way up and things didn't look good.

Since 2003 the recession was over and the Stock Market has seen unprecedented increases. Increases that benefited everyone. Unemployment has steadily declined until just recently. Also, the real mean income has increased across the board.

I haven't agreed with all of the policies of the Bush Administration, but to say they failed shows a lack of understanding. Could they have been better? Absolutely. To go through 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the cost of crude, I think that I can honestly say that the last 8 years haven't been to bad for me.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it!!!! The economic mess we are seeing can not be blamed on Bush! There is plenty of blame to go all around. Bush called out Congress to address the problem years ago, they did nothing. Not the Republicans and not the Democrats.

CBS News Video concerning ACORN Fraud

"Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data." - CBS NEWS/Washington Post

CBS News/Washington Post article shows what many people already knew. Each year things get more and more tense between the two parties. More divisive. As this continues it is not long before there will be severe civil unrest.

The Democrats won't go along with any idea that is brought about by a Republican, likewise for the Republicans. You have had the get out the vote thing going for several years, but nothing like what we are seeing over the past few elections. It isn't about getting the information out any longer, it is about just getting people to vote.

As this becomes more and more divisive, people are beginning to protect themselves. The economy is going down, jobs are being lost, retirements are disappearing, and people are scared. You have a Democratic Nominee who wants the Government to provide for everything, Republican Nominee that says work hard and you will be rewarded. It is two chains of thought that have the American People picking sides.

Is it any wonder that as people are losing money and times are getting hard, that gun sales are up 8-10%? Common wisdom tells you that with an Obama Presidency and Democratic Congress that the days of Gun ownership may be numbered.

Voter Fraud in Wisconsin

With all the talk of Voter Fraud I thought it would be prudent to take a look at our own state. Wow, how come this stuff never makes the news? Complete Story

"Investigators said Tuesday they found clear evidence of fraud in the Nov. 2 election in Milwaukee, including more than 200 cases of felons voting illegally and more than 100 people who voted twice, used fake names or false addresses or voted in the name of a dead person." - JS Online

So you can bet that we can get out there and prosecute these people.

"Nonetheless, it is likely that many - perhaps most - of those who committed fraud won't face prosecution because city records are so sloppy that it will be difficult to establish cases that will stand up in court." - JS Online

Yet when the AG of Wisconsin took the Wisconsin Government in charge of elections to court, the Judge didn't see an issue. HELLO!!!!

"And even now, three months after the investigation, officials have not been able to close a gap of 7,000 votes, with more ballots cast than voters listed. Officials said the gap remains at 4,609."

I can't wait to see how well this election will go. ACORN was here for this election so I can imagine those numbers to drastically increase.

"could breathe new life into the Republican-backed photo ID debate, which did not survive a veto from Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle" - JS Online

"The federal-local investigation was launched Jan. 26, a day after the Journal Sentinel reported that some 1,200 votes in the November election came from invalid addresses. Among other findings, some 1,300 same-day registration cards were processed by poll workers who allowed people to vote even though the cards were incomplete. Some 548 had no address listed and 48 gave no name - yet the person was allowed to vote. Another 141 listed addresses outside the city" - JS Online

Let's see what happens this time.

Questions Concerning Obama's Small Donors

Many questions continue to surface concerning the fund raising of Democratic Presidential Nominee Barrack Obama.

Not surprising with the huge dollars that the campaign has raised and spent, that there are questions concerning the legality of some of that money raised.

The Campaign reports they have received over $450 Million in contributions with a vast majority of that coming from donors who donated $200 or less. These small donations are key, as by law they do not have to be reported. However, research has revealed that several of these donors have donated more than what is legal. "Doodad Pro" of New York donated $17,130 in small increments, "Goodwill" of Austin has given $11,000. Both of these are illegal. They both far exceed the $2300 max for individual donations.

Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said the campaign has no idea who the individuals are and has returned all the donations...

This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed; the Obama campaign did not. "They could've done themselves a service" by heeding the suggestions, said Massie Ritsch of the Center for Responsive Politics.

The questions continue to linger, Why won't they share the information? What are they hiding? When the information does become available and if there are illegal activities found, what do you do? Especially if they have won the election?
