I think the Political Revolution that you see going on in this Country is amazing. The sad thing is that some people just don't seem to get it.
The RNC just had their Convention and the longtime leaders and talking heads of the party were finally put in their place by the smarter leaders coming out and putting their foot down. For months at the beginning of the Primary Season everyone laughed at Trump. With names like Bush, Kasich, Rubio, Carson, Christie, Fiorina, Santorum, Paul, Huckabee, Walker, Graham, Jindal, Perry and Cruz. Walker, Christie, Bush, Rubio and Kasich were the Republican Big Hitters. Cruz had caused so many problems in the party they weren't supporting him. Trump, well, ha ha ha, what is he doing running. They didn't understand that the Country is fed up with the system, fed up with the old beliefs and fed up with them telling us who needs to lead the Country. Quickly it became clear that the American People would have a say in this election. Trump started winning as did Cruz. The old face of the party was changing. They even through their support behind Cruz figuring he was better than Trump. The American People again said No. Trump won decisively in the Primary. Yet the Good ol boys weren't done. They wanted a contested convention. They bashed the Nominee and pushed for the Party to over rule the American People. Trump doesn't have our values they said. Trump isn't against the LGBTQ community. Trump isn't against Abortion. Trump isn't us. They were right of course, and that is why he won. The American People agree with Trump. The smart Republican Leadership have recognized this. Paul Ryan, Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Allen West, Scott Walker, Reince Priebus and many others have stepped in and said support the Nominee. No contested Convention. There have been bumps in the road, but they seem to get it and the GOP will be stronger because of it.
The DNC on the other hand has yet to get it. They saw Hillary Clinton become the choice of the establishment. They were ready to hand her the Nomination without any Primaries. They scoffed that someone like Bernie Sanders was going to challenge her. Not only did Bernie Challenge her, but he showed the glaring issues within the Democratic Nominating system. How the system basically handed the nomination to Hillary before the voting ever started. States that Bernie won gave more delegates to Clinton. Super Delegates that could vote for whomever already pledged to Clinton. Emails leaked that show the National Committee was backing Clinton and going against Sanders. There has been multiple reports of vote rigging and votes not being counted. The Establishment hasn't gotten it yet. They still think they no better than the American Voters what is best for them.
This Revolution is the best thing that can happen for the Country. Lets hope that it continues through the November Elections and we start seeing real change in the Political Landscape on Both Sides and in Washington.
