Obama Approval Rating Struggling to Stay at 50%


The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 30% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -7 (see trends). Forty-five percent (45%) give the President good or excellent marks for leadership.
Rasmussen Reports will release new polling data measuring support for health care reform at 10:30 a.m. Eastern today. Premium Members can get an advance look at the results. Data released yesterday shows that 51% fear the federal government more than private insurance companies. Thirty-two percent (32%) favor a single-payer health care system for the U.S. while 57% are opposed.
