New Police Chief Has a Plan

New Police Chief Edward Flynn has put a plan into action. Targeting a specific area of Wells Street, between 24th and 36th.

This area has a reputation as being the crack alley. This plan is being put in place to reduce the crime and remove the need for residents to call the police. The New Police Chief warned the bad guys on Wells Street that police are coming after them.

This is a great start for the New Police Chief and I look forward to seeing how this works out and what impact it has. I also look forward to the next step.

Keep up the good work, at least you are trying!!!!

Milwuakee's New Police Chief Starts Today

Ed Flynn, the new Police Chief for Milwaukee was sworn in this morning. Chief Flynn will have his work cut out for him as he gets down to the business of trying to clean up this city. After several years of misconduct, corruption, and the plain and simple lack of accountability the city has become a sludge pit of crime. Nightly at 10:00pm on any news channel you hear about the murders, gun shots, rape, and robbery. The inner city lack of cooperation with the police, Civic Leaders promoting the "Don't Snitch" policy, and an absent Mayor, will not make it easy on the new Chief. However, at this time I am giving him my full support. I hope that he can jump right in and start making a difference immediately. I believe that if he can start making noticeable changes right away, it will create a snowball effect and the good people of Milwaukee will start forcing the hands of the Leaders who until now have opted to just collect a paycheck.

100 Car Pile-Up on I-39/90 Near Madison

The warm weather combined with the heavy snow cover provided the proper ingredients for very dense fog. The wall of fog induced multiple chain reaction collisions. Some 100 vehicles involved in major crashes along a 5-mile stretch of highway in both the North and South bound lanes. Two persons confirmed dead, and more than 50 taken to area hospitals. At 10:00 pm CDT The Interstate remains closed from the accidents which began around 2:30 pm.

New Police Chief.....

Milwaukee has a new Police Chief, but can he make a difference. This city is getting so bad, that on most nights the first 10 minutes of news is related to shootings and deaths in and around the Metro. We have an alderman in jail awaiting trial, who has led the African American community in a no snitch campaign. How can the new Police chief bring the community together to resolve the divides and clean up the city that has spiraled down out of control for the last several years?

Frank Jude Beating Trial

The verdict was read today around 2 PM EDT. 3 of the 4 found guilty. All three of the fired Police Officers were found guilty on their charges, while the 4th Officer who was suspended was found not guilty. The Jury took 27 hours to come to the verdict, and I think everyone involved would have to say they did their due diligence in this case. They obviously did not have their minds made up and did what a jury was suppose to do, listen to all the evidence and then come to their conclusion. Now we get to see how things will progress.

Frank Jude and The NAACP are already pushing the Civil Lawsuit. I don't understand why the NAACP is really involved in this? The ACLU maybe, but the NAACP?

The absent Mayor of Milwaukee Tom Barrett came out of his cave to get a few minutes of TV time, I am not really sure where he has been for everything else going on around the city, but he made himself visible for this. As for the Police Chief, She would have been better off just staying out of sight, very few in the community have any real confidence in her.

Now, I for one think that the 3 Police Officers that were convicted were guilty from day one. This community for far too long have had and still to this day have very little leadership. The Police have had no leadership for as long as I can remember, the former Police Chief Art Jones was more interested playing the Racism card than doing his job. He failed in every thing that he did as the Police Chief, The former Mayor was involved in a Sexual Harassment issue, The County Board was ripping the Citizens off, The new Mayor is absent most of the time, only coming out when it suits him, the new Police Chief has yet to accomplish anything, Current Alderman Michael Mcghee is in Jail, and the rest of the Aldermen don't seem to know what to do.

This city is in drastic need of a complete makeover. With the exception of a very few, we need to replace the entire government structure of Milwaukee. Replace almost all of them. The problems with racism, crime, employment, and tourism is not going to get any better until we get all new leadership in this city.

This is a great day for Justice in the City, it is just too bad that it had to be a Federal Case to get Justice, and it is too bad that nothing else will change until real Justice is done by the citizens of Milwaukee.

Wisconsin has gone CRAZY!!!

Just when you things can't be any worse, another amazing story comes out in Wisconsin. First the political landscape is just a sewer, then the mass killings in Delevan, then the abuse and murders in Portage, the beatings in Milwaukee, and the stray bullets that are flying around like crazy. What more can happen in this state before people start taking action?

Michael McGhee deserves what he gets!

It finally happens and I had to be away on vacation. I can't tell you how happy I was to see the news bulletin of Michael McGhee's arrest came across my Blackberry. This is a civic leader who has thumbed his nose at the law, and done virtually everything possible to create race problems and has hampered all efforts to clean up the crime in Milwaukee. Whith his arrest in Wauwatosa, the "No Snitch" game, and the throwing of bricks at cars, this Alderman has been one of the cornerstones of what has made Milwaukee the joke that it has become over the past several years. I am sure that he and his supporters will blame everybody but himself. Now lets take a look at some of the other great leaders whom have helped Mr. McGhee continue to destroy Milwaukee. The Common Council, pretty much take your pick of them. They should have been more active in shutting all of this down a long time ago. But how can you cast stones when many of them have problems of their own. The great Mayor of Milwaukee. Tell me, where has Mayor Barret been since elected? He shows his face only in situations that really have nothing to do with the his job, "A plane crash in the Lake?" The people of the city of Milwaukee. How do you reelect these people?

Cruisers

Milwaukee has long had a history of problems with the teenage cruising around the city. Blocking roadways, driving through yards, shooting guns, drinking and drugs. The Police have done very little to stop the problem. Chief Haggerty has pretty much been the invisible police chief. She hasn't accomplished much in her time as the Chief. Michael McGee would have everyone believe that if you put police in the area you are just targeting the black community.

I think that it is time that we do whatever it takes to get the streets back in lawful hands. Quit handling all these problems with kid gloves. Drop the hammer on these people. Not just the cruisers, but the whole damn city. This city has gone into the crapper and no one is willing to step up and do the job. The Mayor, Chief of Police, City Government, County Government, all just sit back and tell you what is wrong, but not a one of them will get off their lazy butts and roll up their sleeves and dive in and turn this thing around.

Get Fired / Get Paid to sit at home!!!

Did you know that there is a law on the books in the State of Wisconsin that allows Milwaukee Police officers who are fired to continue to collect their paychecks while they appeal their firings. No kidding, even if the officer is fired for criminal activity. This law allows the officers to continue to receive their pay, while they fight it out in court, and appeal their firings through the proper channels, sometimes for months and years. This law only applies to Milwaukee, no other City, County, or State Law Enforcement Agencies. Things that make you go hmmmmm!!!!
