The verdict was read today around 2 PM EDT. 3 of the 4 found guilty. All three of the fired Police Officers were found guilty on their charges, while the 4th Officer who was suspended was found not guilty. The Jury took 27 hours to come to the verdict, and I think everyone involved would have to say they did their due diligence in this case. They obviously did not have their minds made up and did what a jury was suppose to do, listen to all the evidence and then come to their conclusion. Now we get to see how things will progress.
Frank Jude and The NAACP are already pushing the Civil Lawsuit. I don't understand why the NAACP is really involved in this? The ACLU maybe, but the NAACP?
The absent Mayor of Milwaukee Tom Barrett came out of his cave to get a few minutes of TV time, I am not really sure where he has been for everything else going on around the city, but he made himself visible for this. As for the Police Chief, She would have been better off just staying out of sight, very few in the community have any real confidence in her.
Now, I for one think that the 3 Police Officers that were convicted were guilty from day one. This community for far too long have had and still to this day have very little leadership. The Police have had no leadership for as long as I can remember, the former Police Chief Art Jones was more interested playing the Racism card than doing his job. He failed in every thing that he did as the Police Chief, The former Mayor was involved in a Sexual Harassment issue, The County Board was ripping the Citizens off, The new Mayor is absent most of the time, only coming out when it suits him, the new Police Chief has yet to accomplish anything, Current Alderman Michael Mcghee is in Jail, and the rest of the Aldermen don't seem to know what to do.
This city is in drastic need of a complete makeover. With the exception of a very few, we need to replace the entire government structure of Milwaukee. Replace almost all of them. The problems with racism, crime, employment, and tourism is not going to get any better until we get all new leadership in this city.
This is a great day for Justice in the City, it is just too bad that it had to be a Federal Case to get Justice, and it is too bad that nothing else will change until real Justice is done by the citizens of Milwaukee.
