Right Wisconsin:
The election may be over, the good news on Wisconsin’s jobs numbers continues.
Long a talking point by Democrats, the pace of Wisconsin’s jobs growth during the Walker years has been criticized by his critics. Now according to the latest year-to-year data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Wisconsin is now has the second-fastest rate of job growth in the Midwest.
Wisconsin ranks 2nd among Midwest states in rate of year-over-year private sector job growth from December 2013 to December 2014, according to today's release of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) state-by-state employment and unemployment estimates. When looking at number of jobs added, Wisconsin ranked second in the Midwest and 14th in the nation and with 54,100 private sector jobs created."Wisconsin's economy continues to improve under the leadership of Governor Walker," Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Newson said. "The latest available data shows Wisconsin led every neighboring state and ranked second in the Midwest in year-over-year rate of private sector job growth. At DWD we will continue to support and train Wisconsin's workforce to meet the needs of our expanding economy."
