Mayor Barrett & Chief Flynn Have Lost the War on Crime

Violent crime has been a consistent problem in Milwaukee and the Mayor and Police Chief have failed to stem the tide of Violence.  If you question whether the problem is as bad as it seems, you only have to watch the news to understand it is bad.  Every night the top of the news is about the violence and all too many times we are talking about kids getting caught in the cross fire.

The Mayor and Police Chief have completely lost the battle and there are no signs of a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Chief has become a liability.  He has lost the support of the public.  He has lost the support of his own officers.  So who supports him?  The Mayor.  The Mayor is supporting the Chief of Police.  What is the magic that the Mayor and Chief expect to come out of this?  When the leader has no support from his staff and the public how is he suppose to lead?  Who is he suppose to lead?

Regardless of what you might think of the Chief of Police, it is time for a change at the top.  Sometimes you just have to turn the page.

If there is any chance to win the war on crime in Milwaukee, then their has to be changes at the top.  The Mayor and Police Chief have shown they can't win this war.  They have rolled out idea after idea after idea with little to no effect.

We can't change the Mayor at this point.  His election is two years away.  The people of Milwaukee will then have to decide if they feel he has done his job.  I think we can all say that the answer right now is no.  However he has two years to shift that thinking.

So if we can change the Mayor, then we need to change the Chief of Police.  Make that change sooner rather than later.  Fresh ideas and the ability to turn the page on the scandals around this Police Chief.
