I am sure that the Milwaukee D.A. who has racked up tons of taxpayer dollars going after Gov. Scott Walker for over the last several years is opening a John Doe investigation into the actions of Milwaukee County Supervisor John Weishan Jr.
Milwaukee County Supervisor John Weishan Jr. spent $4,700 in taxpayer funds to send out some 13,000 letters criticizing a bill proposed by State Representative Joe Sanfelippo (R-New Berlin).
Why is this news and worthy of a John Doe investigation? Milwaukee County Supervisor spent that purchasing the addresses and sending the letters to people in the 15th Assembly District, which happens to be mainly in the New Berlin area in Waukesha County. Which wouldn't be of any interst to a Milwaukee County Supervisor.
Except. Wait for it.
Just 5 Weeks later Milwaukee County Supervisor John Weishan Jr. announced his candidacy for the 15th Assembly District running against State Representative Joe Sanfelippo.
Seems that would be right down the avenue of what Milwaukee D.A. John Chisolm uses the John Doe investigations for.
So far no report on a John Doe investigation into this matter. That would seem to mean that at this point none has been opened up. If past practices are any indication I am sure we would know since the D.A. is not very good at keeping things a secret.
