We have seen this happen around the area over the past several months, Racine had one just recently. I never hear about the punishment. They should have stiff punishment, and it should be publicized so these people understand how serious this is.

The man was booked and released on his own recognizance after it was determined he did not pose a credible threat,” New Berlin Police Lt. Mike Glider said." - WTMJ
There should be stiff punishment. Why let him go on his recognizance? Let him sit in a jail cell for a day or two and think about it. He should have spent the weekend in jail. That is what is wrong with our system, and why you see this continually to happen more and more.
